Massachusetts Subpoena - Issue & Serve

IMPORTANT

Once your request is submitted, we will send an email to verify that you want us to proceed with issuing the subpoena. Our office handles the full process in Massachusetts: drafting the subpoena, issuing it, attaching the required witness fee, and completing in‑hand service. Standard service is typically completed within 3-4 business days. If you need guaranteed 24‑hour service, please indicate “rush service” in the Additional Message or Information section of the form. (This timeframe does not apply to Out-of-State Subpoena requests).
We charge flat fees for all Massachusetts Subpoena Services. Our fee schedule is as follows:
  • Prepare, issue, and serve a subpoena: $98 per subpoena.
  • Issue and serve a subpoena you have already prepared: $80 per subpoena.
  • Draft, issue, and email a PDF of a subpoena: $23 per subpoena.
  • Draft, issue, and serve a subpoena for an out-of-state case: $365 per subpoena.
You will receive an emailed copy of the subpoena for your records, along with Proof of Service once a Network Member (who is a Process Server) completes service. After service is finalized, the Return of Service will also be emailed to you.

An Invoice for the total cost will be emailed to you, and it can be securely paid online by credit card. Payment must be completed before the original subpoena, and the finalized Return of Service, are released. Upon request, we can also accept payment through Chime, Venmo, or Cash App.

$25 per Subpoena

IPS offers a low-cost option for clients who only need a subpoena professionally drafted and notarized (issued). This service is ideal for attorneys, agencies, and individuals who already have a process server or constable handling the physical service.

This fee applies exclusively to subpoenas issued for Massachusetts cases and does not cover out-of-state subpoena requests, or domestication matters.

IPS welcomes other Process Servers and Constables to request subpoenas through our paralegal. This ensures compliance with M.G.L. c. 222 § 17(d), which requires that a notary public be duly qualified, trained, and experienced in a professional field before drafting documents such as subpoenas.
